About ESSI Nyamirambo
A school built on one conviction: that rigorous science and Islamic character are taught together.
Background
École Secondaire Scientifique Islamique (ESSI) Nyamirambo is a private secondary school founded in 1984 by the Joint Organisation for Establishing Islamic Cultural Centres, represented locally by the Islamic Cultural Centre – Kigali (CCI).
Since then, more than 5,000 students have completed their secondary studies here across Ordinary Level (S1–S3) and the Advanced Level science streams (S4–S6). The school marked forty years of teaching in 2024.

The school is located in Nyamirambo, Nyarugenge District, in Kigali, Rwanda.
